Soloist

David Thornton has performed across the globe as a concert and recital soloist, with ensembles, orchestras, brass bands, wind bands and fanfare bands. His tours have taken him to North America, Asia, Australasia and throughout Europe performing in some of the finest concerts halls, from the Royal Albert Hall to Sydney Opera House and back again.

His work as a soloist is renowned throughout the brass playing world to have a distinct hallmark of extreme virtuosity, professionalism and an ability to connect with audiences like few others in his field. All engagements are shaped to fit the occasion - David and his management team always work closely with organizers and promoters to ensure repertoire, staging and presentation are exactly what each event requires.
